State of the Art Conference on Cerebellar Mutism / Posterior Fossa Syndrome relevant to all professionals involved with the care of children and young people with Brain Tumours
Dear Colleagues and Friends
THE MEETING
This conference will provide a state of the art multidisciplinary update on Cerebellar Mutism Syndrome (CMS), recognised as an often severe adverse effect of cerebellar injury and characterised by mutism after surgery usually associated with emotional liability. The core manifestations of CMS may be accompanied by a range of neurological and neuropsychological impairments together with an association with the Cerebellar Cognitive Affective disorder.
We promise you an amazing, not to be missed, conference that will be a landmark event in the science and clinical practice of Cerebellar Mutism / Posterior Fossa Syndrome. A number of world-leading speakers will present and we will welcome abstracts for both platform and poster presentation.
We are honoured that the meeting has come to Liverpool; a vibrant city with a rich maritime, art and musical heritage – one of the most visited cities in the United Kingdom. We are very proud of our city as a centre of research and learning with a proven track record of hosting major national and international Congresses.
The venue for the conference is the Hilton Hotel Centre set on a delightful waterfront that has achieved world heritage status. We will offer a memorable networking and social program with the main networking event on the world famous Ferry across the Mersey. As well as the conference hotel, a full range of hotels can be booked, all of which are within walking distance.
COVID
The LOC of the meeting fully appreciate the uncertainties created by the current COVID pandemic.
It is sincerely hoped, however, that we are well over the worst of the pandemic and that national and international travel will be safe by September 2022 and that social distancing measures will allow us to host the meeting. The organisers will of course continue monitor the situation with respect to COVID-19 extremely carefully and will provide advice and information as appropriate.
All that said, we very much hope that we will be able to run the event and welcome you to the First Global Meeting of the Posterior Fossa Society in Liverpool.
PLEASE VIEW THE REST OF THE CONFERENCE WEBSITE AND REGISTER INTEREST
Please visit the rest of the website by clicking on the navigation bar above, which details many of the speakers and how to submit an abstract.
The organisers would be really grateful if you could at least register your interest in attending the meeting by clicking here to help us plan the meeting and so we can keep you informed of the conference.
Together we will create an incredible meeting.
With Very Best Wishes

Hydrocephalus can happen at any age.
This Annual Meeting, is the largest worldwide dedicated to research into hydrocephalus and related disorders and takes place each year since 2008 around the month of September in a different city. This Meeting is a consistent international scientific assembly and forum bridging the junior and senior, the clinical and basic scientists interested in the fascinating and multidisciplinary field of CSF disorders, bringing together neurologists, neurosurgeons, radiologists, geriatricians. engineers, physiotherapists, nurses, researchers and professionals among others to the potential benefit of patients and families.
